Ruth Marks-Faafiti

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Kauionalani Marks-Faafiti, a beloved teacher, mother,
grandmother, and steadfast friend. 

Born in Wahiawa, Hawaii, Ruth left this world on March 17, 2026, in American Fork, Utah, surrounded by love. She was 70 years old.As the second of ten children, Ruth cherished her close-knit family ties and maintained deep connections with al  her siblings throughout her life. She was a dedicated educator in high school education, where her passion for teaching was equaled only by her commitment to inspiring her students and instilling a love for learning. Ruth’s nurturing spirit extended far beyond the classroom; she had an incredible capacity for kindness and generosity,touching the lives of everyone she met. 

Ruth’s love for cooking and crafting brought joy not only to her family but also to her community. She was also a passionate genealogist, devoting countless hours to unraveling her family’s history and sharing that legacy with her children and grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she reveled in every moment spent with Children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and Ruth lovingly taught her children to embrace the Lord, leading by example with her warmth and compassion. She will be remembered for her gentle heart and the smiles she brought to those around her.Join us in celebrating Ruth’s extraordinary life on March 19, 2026, at Anderson and Sons American Fork. 

A public viewing will take place at 3:00 PM, followed by a gathering to honor her legacy and share cherished memories.Ruth’s physical presence may be gone, but her spirit will forever inspire and live on in all those she touched. 

Ruth was survived by many children, grandchildren, and great-grand children.
