Celebrating the Life of Lois Moser

It is with both sorrow and joy that we announce the passing of Lois Moser, who left this world on September 1, 2026, in American Fork, Utah. Lois was born on December 7, 1951, in Preston, Idaho to Ross Arthur Moser and Marilou Hawkes Moser.

Lois was a spirited soul, known for her warm heart and social nature with family and friends. A stubborn streak occasionally shone through, but it only added to her lovable charm. She was a true music enthusiast, particularly captivated by country tunes, with Reba McEntire holding a special place in her heart. She was also a devoted cat lover and fostered Scooter, Baghara, and Pumpkin.

Growing up on a horse ranch in Idaho, Lois learned the value of hard work early on. Her adventurous spirit took her on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Kentucky-Tennessee area, where she helped spread love and kindness. In 1980, she married Harvey McKenzie, and they made their home in Napa, California until his passing in 2000. Lois worked as a paper delivery carrier, and helped her father with his landscaping business. Lois moved to Alpine, Utah in 2010 to stay with her mother who was in increasingly poor health.

Lois's extended family was her world, and she was the ultimate family historian-the one you could always count on for the latest scoop or to reminisce about cherished memories. Her love for her family was immeasurable.

She is survived by her sister Anne Louise Illes, niece Lauren Illes, nephews Trevor and Alexander and their families, aunt Elaine Morrison, uncle Craig Morrison and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Ross and Marilou, many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

As we prepare to honor Lois's special life, we invite family and friends to join us in a joyful celebration of her spirit. Memorial services will be held Friday, September 4, 2026 at 10:00 AM in Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 W 11000 N, Highland, Utah where we will gather to share our favorite stories of Lois and remember the laughter and love she brought into our lives. We will also commemorate her love for cats, especially her loyal companion, Pumpkin, who stayed by her side until the very end.

Rest peacefully, Lois. We will keep your spirit alive in every note we sing and every puzzle we solve.
