Barbara Ellen Auga

Barbara Ellen Stewart Auga passed away peacefully in Eagle Mountain, Utah, on September 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving Husband, Edward, and son, Daniel. She was born in South Gate, CA to Joseph and Martha Stewart on September 10, 1939. She was preceded in death by her Brother, Douglas Stewart and Sister, Donna Stewart Coultas. She married her sweetheart and the love of her life, Edward Alger Auga on August 3, 1957. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles California LDS Temple. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Those who knew her well described her as a loving individual with a very vibrant spirit. Barbara was a bookkeeper in her younger years until she and Ed started their family and then she became the Homemaker of their home. Barbara had a passion for knitting, crocheting and needlepoint, often gifting her beautiful creations to family and friends. Her culinary skills were unmatched (though many of her family members deemed they were the "test tasters" for her latest concoctions); many cherished her home-cooked meals and the love that came from her time spent in the kitchen. Above all, Barbara treasured her time spent with family. As a devoted mother of three boys, she poured her heart into raising them.

Barbara's laughter and warm hugs will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Edward Alger Auga; three sons, Kenneth (Jami), Thomas (Denise) and Daniel (Nancy); 9 grandchildren, Candace, Benjamin, Michael, Kimberly, Katie, Kyle, Kendra, Sarah and Dylan; 15 great-grandchildren with a 16th due soon; along with many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind countless memories that will continue to brighten our hearts.
