Spencer William King

Spencer William King, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully from natural causes on September 21, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on August 27, 1960, in Provo, Utah, and raised in Moore, Idaho.  He spent countless hours working on the family farm.  Spencer was a vibrant spirit who brought joy to all who knew him.  He married a wonderful woman named Laura DeBell on February 12, 1994.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mount Timpanogos Temple where they were sealed for all Eternity. They celebrated 32 years of marriage this year.  

Spencer is remembered for his larger-than-life personality and his unwavering love for his family. He proudly served in the Navy, wearing his uniform with honor and returning home to a grateful community. An adventurous soul, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and found great joy in attending family reunions. Spencer had a deep appreciation for local culture, often attending the Lehi and Pleasant Grove Rodeos, where the excitement of the events mirrored his zest for life.  He chose to serve a Service Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served happily at the Lindon Cannery from 2012-2013.    He cherished the written word and found solace in reading.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laura King; his children, Ann Elizabeth King and Lloyd Austin King; his siblings, Virginia Lynn King, Laura (Dave) Gilson, Jennifer (Mike) Barton, Rebecca (Tom) Branson, Joe King, Melinda (Sean Miniear), and Elizabeth Bradley; and his father, William King. Spencer's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Graveside services for Spencer will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 11:00 am at the American Fork Cemetery (600 North Center Street American Fork UT 84003). Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Spencer, sharing stories and celebrating a life well-lived. A viewing will take place beforehand from 9:45-10:45 am at Anderson and Sons Mortuary in American Fork Utah (49 North 100 East American Fork UT 84003)

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Anderson & Sons Mortuary (801-756-3564) to help cover the cost of the headstone.  

He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his warmth, laughter, and love.
