Genevieve Corinne Rich

April 27, 1980 - September 30, 2026, 46 years young.

With profound sadness and tremendous love, we announce the passing of our beloved Genevieve.

Born on April 27, 1980, Genevieve brought a beautiful and unforgettable light into the lives of those who knew her. She will be remembered for her free spirit, her laughter, her loving heart, and the special way she connected with people.

Genevieve was a very loving mother to her two children, Landon, age 11, and Ilyana, age 8. Her children were a very important part of her life, and the love she had for them will remain a lasting part of their life story.

Genevieve was also deeply accomplished academically and professionally. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Management from the University of Utah and later completed a master's degree in Marine biodiversity and conservation at UC San Diego's Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

She also proudly served for 18 years as an officer in the United States Coast Guard Reserve - a remarkable commitment that reflected her discipline, intelligence, strength, and willingness to take on just about anything.

Genevieve and her family had recently moved to Temecula, Southern California, beginning a new life there.

She was deeply loved not only by her immediate family, but also by the many friends and extended family members whose lives she touched. Since her passing, the outpouring of love, memories, messages, and stories about her has reminded us just how far her shining personality reached.

Preceded in death by her mother, J. Lynn Rich; She is survived by her husband Jeffery Stein; her children, Landon and Ilyana; her father, David and step mother Roxana; her siblings, Aimee, Christina , and David; and many other family members and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her.

Genevieve's life cannot be measured simply by the number of years she spent with us, but by the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the imprint she left upon our hearts.

Our family finds comfort in our faith in Jesus Christ and in the promise that death is not the end. We believe that through the Savior's resurrection, the separation we feel today is temporary and that one day there will be another embrace, another laugh, and a beautiful reunion.

Until that day, we will honor Genevieve by loving a little more deeply, extending a little more grace, and holding those we love a little closer.

Genevieve, you were loved beyond measure.

You are not forgotten.

You are not lost.

You will remain forever in our hearts until we meet again.
