Bonnie Lee Dalton

Bonnie Lee Bate Dalton, a vibrant soul who graced the world for 90 wonderful years, will be celebrated as she is lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Bonnie passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, surrounded by her cherished loved ones. Born on January 10, 1936, in Pine Grove, California, she was the beloved daughter of Lee H. Bate and Grace Lee Bate.

On February 5, 1954, Bonnie embarked on a beautiful journey of love when she married Oral Tippetts Dalton in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Though Oral left us too soon on April 1, 2002, the love they shared continues to inspire all who knew them.

Throughout her life, Bonnie radiated warmth and vitality. She found joy in everything from swimming and strolling with friends to cheering on her children in their various pursuits. When asked what brought her the most happiness, her unwavering answer was always being a loving mother and grandmother. She had a heart of gold, taking great delight in helping and supporting those around her.

As a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bonnie served faithfully in numerous callings throughout her life, embodying the spirit of service and community. She leaves behind an incredible legacy through her children: Jeff (Donna) Dalton, Jody (Douglas) Mower, Jon (Lori) Dalton, Julie (Tim) Pauley, James (Echo) Dalton, Jason (Melanie) Dalton, and Jeremy Dalton, along with 33 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren who will carry her love forward. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Bate.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Oral (Chuck), her granddaughter Natalie, and her siblings Roberta Smith and Lee (Bud) Bate, who will be rejoicing with her now.

To honor Bonnie's extraordinary life and the love she shared, a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m at the American Fork 38th Ward, located at 270 North 900 East. A viewing will take place at the church from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 AM prior to the services, allowing friends and family to gather, reminisce, and celebrate the remarkable woman she was. Bonnie will be laid to rest at the American Fork Cemetery, where her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched.
