Job Aaron Strickland

Job Aaron Strickland, of Lehi, Utah, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on September 11, 2026. He was born to Robert and Judy Strickland in St. Paul, Minnesota on November 29, 1975, and grew up in Cumberland, Wisconsin. In 1998, Job married Leidy Carrera Vanegas in Panama, and they were sealed in the Chicago Illinois Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked for UPS over 25 years.

Family was paramount to Job and being a father was his most cherished role. He treasured his family’s companionship on drives through the mountains and hikes in Utah’s national parks. He was intent on raising strong, healthy, independent daughters. Job taught them to be curious, confident, and resilient. He took great pride in the remarkable women they’ve become. Job was an awesome big brother. His siblings could count on him for guidance, unconditional love, and always a bit of teasing. His kindness, empathy, and humor made being his brother or sister a gift they will always hold dear.Job had many passions, including music, travel, and physical fitness. He performed in choirs, jammed with his family, belted ballads and anthems at karaoke, and rocked out at live concerts. Job explored new destinations and loved long road trips, often with stops at baseball stadiums. He enjoyed being the “black sheep” of a loyal Minnesota Twins family by cheering hard for the Milwaukee Brewers. Job was committed to self-improvement, always working toward personal bests in weightlifting and he was extremely competitive in pickleball. Job didn’t play pickleball just to win - he played to connect, encourage, teach, and lift everyone around him. He had a special ability to see people where they are, both on and off the court, and show up for them. Job is survived by his wife Leidy; daughters Katelyn, Isabella, Sophia, and Eva; mother Judy; brothers Eli, Ben, Ezra, and Zachary Strickland; sisters Jessica Lancaster and Sarah Frantz; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. He is deeply missed and forever loved.

The funeral will be held Saturday, September 19 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 651 East 1630 South, Lehi. The visitation hour will begin at 9:45 am and service at 11:00. The grave dedication at Lehi City Cemetery and open luncheon at the church will follow. A zoom link to the service will be available here.
