William David King (81) passed away at his home in American Fork, Utah surrounded by family on December 25, 2020 He was born in Ogden, Utah May 6th, 1939 to Louis and Venice King. He attended Davis High School. Following high school he joined the Navy and proudly served his country for 6 years. He was married to Berthann Riggs on April 18, 1972 and later sealed in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints , Provo Utah Temple. He worked as a service manager for Holly Auto and later became the Head Custodian at Windsor Elementary and then Ceder Ridge Elementary in Cedar Hills, Utah.
William loved everything to do with baseball, he even had an opportunity to play in the minor leagues. He also enjoyed fly fishing, geocashing with his neighbors the Johanson's. Most of all he loved spending time with his children, granddaughter, friends and neighbors. He was a hard worker and took great pride in his work.
He is survived by his beloved wife Berthann Riggs King, his sons Bill, Brian, Brent and daughter's Becky and Kari King Gordon. A granddaughter Madison and his sister Carla Buys and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Pam and brother Jerry.
Graveside  services will be held Wednesday December 30, 2020 at 1:30 PM in the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 17111 1700 W Bluffdale UT, 84065. A visitation will be held from 11:45 to 12:45  at Anderson and Sons Mortuary 49 East 100 North American Fork, UT 84003. Please share a message at andersonmortaury.com
