William Ezell

April 24, 1928 — July 3, 2021

William (Bill) Etral Ezell, 93, of Highland, Utah passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on July 3, 2021.

Born in Five Points, Tennessee the son of William and Beatrice Jenkins Ezell. He joined the Army at age 18 and was stationed at Deseret Army Depot, in Tooele, Utah, where he met his loving wife of 69 years, Loyola Maria Trujillo. He worked at the Tooele Ordnance Depot until his retirement. Dad loved his family. He had a special bond with his grandkids and great-grandkids taking them fishing and hunting, going up to the cabin, and especially teasing them. Although he lived a long way from Tennessee he was able to stay close to his nine siblings by taking his family there every year. Those trips became very special memories for his children and grandchildren. He loved working on cars, especially his MG that he fully restored. Dad loved visiting and sharing stories with everyone.

He is survived by his children: Margeritte (Ernie) Smith, Diane (Brent) Smith, Larry (Jeri) Ezell, 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, and his siblings Iris Jean Durham, Reva (Franklin) Lee, Laris (Dot) Ezell, and Arlene (Nelson) Richardson. Preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his siblings, Clayton, Kerene, Mina Belle, Thelma, and Vella B, and a grandson, Gregg Smith. A special thank you to Rocky Mountain Hospice.
