Scott Farnsworth

August 11, 1951 — October 31, 2021

Scott Verdale Farnsworth passed away surrounded by loved ones at Cascades Orchard Park in
Orem, Utah, on October 31st, 2021 at the age of 70 years old.

Scott Farnsworth was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Grant LeRoy Farnsworth and Jackalene
Farnsworth (Hall) on August 11th, 1951. He grew up in Provo and graduated from Provo High
School in 1970. He then attended Dixie State University where he met the love of his life,
Andrea Curtis. They were married on February 15th, 1974 in Lehi, Utah. Scott graduated from
college and began his career as a loan officer. Scott and his bride Moved to Lehi in 1977 and
lived there until 1983. With their young children in tow, they moved to St. George, Utah and
stayed in the southern Utah region until 1987. The family moved back to Lehi, Utah in 1987 and
they resided there until 2017 when they moved to American Fork, Utah.


Scott enjoyed laughter and playing jokes. He raised his boys with his wife Andrea and during
family game time, he instigated his own set of game rules that only applied to him. He enjoyed
spending time with his family and grandchildren. Scott spent time golfing and participated in the
volunteer-led organization, Kiwanis. Scott followed the Golden Rule when teaching and
spending time with his family, professionally and within volunteer capacities. He held himself
and his children to high standards for a better quality of life for himself and his family.


Scott’s family wishes to thank relatives and community members who came to the aid of Scott in
his final days upon the discovery of his illness. The thoughts, prayers, efforts and love exhibited
both in word and in deed was appreciated by Scott as well as his wife, Andrea and their
children.


Scott is preceded in death by his parents Grant and Jackie, brother Brent, and son, Shawn. He
is survived by his wife of 47 years, Andrea Farnsworth, his sister, Jan Egan (Brandon), and his
three sons Travis (Elizabeth), Curtis, and Jess. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Anna,
Dallen, Jaeden, McKinna, Jolie, Ethan, Mylee, Savannah and Cooper.


Services will be held on Monday, November 8th, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Anderson and Sons
Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Utah. Graveside services at Lehi City Cemetery,
385 East Cedar Hollow, Lehi Utah. Directly following, luncheon to be held for family and friends
at the American Fork 21st Ward Church Building, 270 North, 900 East, American Fork Utah.
