Nancy Frame

February 8, 1936 — October 31, 2020

Our beloved Mother, sister, grandma and dear friend left this earthly existence on Saturday, October 31st.  She will always be known for her quiet, calm and selfless demeanor, never wanting to take credit for anything she ever did.  She lived her life always staying true to what she believed in and was an example of never wavering from that path.

Nancy Dana Pryor Frame was born on February 8, 1936 in Ogden, Utah to William Thurman Pryor and Wilhelmina Marina Verham.  They preceded her in death as well as her older brother, William Conan Pryor who she lovingly would tell her family that as children that he was known as ‘Billy Goat’ and she ‘Nanny Goat’.  She was very proud of her dutch heritage (mother Verham) and jokingly at times warned others of her stoic dutch personality.

Nancy lived much of her childhood in Arlington ‘Falls Church’, Virginia where she had many fond memories.  She was involved in a myriad of activities, most memorable of which was lead baton twirler in her high school marching band.

After high school, she pursued her true calling by graduating with honors from the Capital City School of Nursing at District of Columbia General Hospital.  She worked as a Registered Nurse until having her 2nd child.  Her love of nursing was and always will be in the operating room.

Nancy married Robert Mulliner Frame on December 28,1957 in the St. George Temple and had three children; David Vance Frame of Highland, UT, Robert Calvin Frame (Rachel) of Katy, Texas, and Deanna Pryor Staker (David) of Highland, UT.  She was a grandma (known to some as ‘G’) to 7 grandsons, 4 granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

Nancy held many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  One of which she is most humble to have been called to be the Genealogy Librarian/Specialist from the late 1960s to the late 1970s in both Ventura, CA and Omaha, NE.  She helped many people trace their family tree through microfiche and from the limited resources in comparison to what is now available today.  Nancy was truly grateful that she could help so many people trace their roots. She always gave credit to her father for her genealogy knowledge and foresight.

Beginning in 1980, Nancy worked for twenty years as an RN in the operating room at Utah Valley Hospital.  She was truly proud of being ‘Nurse Nancy’ of OR 9 and was grateful for the memories, interaction, partnership and friendship with the doctors, nurses and orderlies that she had over the course of her tenure, which are too many to count.  Anytime she would reminisce about this time in her life, it would always bring a smile to her face.

As her children, we will always remember our mom as someone who sacrificed everything to make sure her family achieved what they wanted, and her support was never ending.  Her sacrifice will never be forgotten.
