Michael Templeman

March 27, 1983 — July 3, 2021

Michael Adam Templeman was born on March 27, 1983, in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. He weighed almost 11 lbs at birth and because of a few complications, had to join the premature babies in the NICU. Michele, his mother, always laughs thinking about how he was a giant among those little babies. He started out larger than life and he continued on in much the same way until he left us.

Michael graduated from high school in Pelham, Georgia in 2001 and went on to study English at UVU in Orem, Utah. He would continue “studying” English for the next 10 years. He was committed that way. He was an entrepreneur to the core and loved the freedom of having done so many different things in his professional life. He loved travel and would immerse himself in the culture, the more bug eating, the better. Halloween was the time for him to shine and he would host an annual party for his family and friends that was a testament to his verve for life. He was also a little bit of a Dr. Dolittle, never to be found without the companionship of one or more of his pets, especially his pug Rooney, who left this earth a little before Michael to go get things ready for him.

To say that Michael loved being a dad, would be an understatement. Being a father was his calling and his chosen passion. His children were his purpose. He loved filling their lives with adventure and fun. Each of his children held a special and individual place in his heart. He was unique in the way that he loved, in that it always felt tailor-made to the individual. He loved people in the way they needed to be loved and his children were the biggest example of that.

Michael Adam Templeman passed away suddenly on July 3rd 2021. He had a heart attack in his home and experienced no pain. He was 38 years old. Michael was born with a condition where his heart was too large, but we, who loved him, already knew that. Michael is dearly loved and cherished by his children: Andie, Greyson, Kennedy, Davis and their mother, Kiley. He will always be remembered and missed by his mother, Michele and father, Fred as well as his large number of siblings: Andre, Alain, Dave, Celine Morton, Caroline Lowe, Phillippe, Katrine Myers, and Coryse Nemrow. His nieces and nephews who always lovingly referred to him as “Fun Uncle Mike” will continue his legacy of joy. He leaves behind an unsurprisingly large number of friends and dear ones. He is preceded in death by his youngest brother, Jared, and his niece Celeste. The reunion with them is one that he talked of often and tenderly.

The funeral services will be held at the LDS chapel located at 1176 North 730 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah on Saturday at 4 o’clock, July 10th 2021. There will be a viewing from 2:45 – 3:45 prior to the service at the church. Please share a memory on Michael’s tribute wall.
