Margery Heath

December 3, 1923 — July 21, 2020

Margery Ellen Hughes Heath, 96, passed away on July 21, 2020 in Lehi, Utah.  She was born in Afton, Wyoming to Charles Arther Hughes and Eldeda Bell Roos Hughes.  She married William Theodore Heath on April 10, 1953 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.

Marge grew up during the Great Depression and learned at a young age the value of sacrifice and hard work.  These values were taught through example to her children.  She loved gardening, sewing, and making homemade sweets of any kind.  She was famous for her fudge and filled chocolates at Christmas time.  Her flower gardens around every home they lived in were showstoppers.  She loved nature and little children and was a great storyteller to the young.  She enjoyed playing the piano, playing by ear and could tease out the chords to most melodies.

She served long and diligently in her church.  In their later lives together, she and her husband served two missions.  The first in Virginia and then in Tennessee.

She is survived by her husband Ted, her children: Monty Heath, Debra (John) Baun and Bruce (Kim) Heath, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a sister Barbara Turner.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Mary, John, Stan and Wayne.
