Margaret Anderson

June 6, 1932 — January 12, 2022

Margaret LaRae Batchelor Anderson, 89, was reunited with her eternal companion on January 12, 2022, in Cedar Hills, UT surrounded by her loving family. What a beautiful sight that must have been after 11 years of separation. It is hard for us to let our mother, grandma go but there really isn't anything more comforting than knowing our mom and dad our together once again. They were the perfect match and example of love and faith. Though our hearts are saddened, we are at peace knowing she is out of pain and suffering and they are together once again.

LaRae married Robert Lee Anderson on December 8, 1949 and were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. They then went onto to having 7 children that they loved and raised to become examples of their love and hard work. What a wonderful family they created and cherished. Mom did not take being a homemaker, wife and mother lightly. She dedicated her whole life to her family, no matter how hard or exhausting it was. She was not afraid to share her talents and made sure we all knew how much she loved us and would do anything for us to make sure we had the very best. Her dedication and strong will didn't go unnoticed and was a light to not only her family but all those she came in contact with.

Mom had a love of beautiful music and especially loved playing the violin where she shared her talent throughout her community. She was a member of the Intermezzo music club for many years. Moms skills for cooking delicious food were enjoyed by many and the highlight of our holidays and family parties. She passed that on to many of her children and grandchildren. Her talent for crocheting and sewing blessed the lives of her children and all those she came in contact with. She was a perfectionist in all she did. Interior design was one of her many talents and creating a home where her and dad raised their children, gave her great comfort in her life. There wasn't one thing missed when it came to having a clean organized home. It was very frustrating at times because it was a lot of hard work and what child loves to clean. But there was no fun to be had if the home and yard weren't in order. Beauty was her theme for everything in mom's life. Our family knows if it doesn't look or sound beautiful it just wasn't right. That has been handed down to many and we are so thankful for her persistence in us being our best selves and that anything can be achieved with prayer and hard work. Mom was a wonderful example of how persistence and compassion pays off in all things. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings throughout her life including Relief Society president and stake callings and serving a mission with her husband in the Bishop's storehouse.
Mom you will be truly missed until we are reunited again rest in peace.

LaRae is survived by her children, Cindy (Steven) Draper, Gilbert Lee Anderson, Orpha Sue (Michael) Bullock, Robert Rae (Joni) Anderson, Caryl Lyn (Kurt) Rawlings, Jayne Anderson Madsen, Maria LaRae (Tyler) Corry; 25 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; her siblings Orpha JaNae Nicholes and Vicki Lyn Butler.
