LaRee Larson Phillippi, 76, passed away peacefully at home in American Fork, June 19, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born March 16, 1944 in Safford, Arizona the daughter of Melvin Theo Larson and Nina Crockett. She married Gary Mack Phillippi August 12, 1966 in San Diego, California their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple October 25, 1969. LaRee loved quilting, needle point, shopping, and traveling with her husband. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including 3 missions with her husband, Cambodia, Australia, and Nauvoo, IL. She and Gary also spent a year teaching English in Xi-an China.
The focus of LaRee’s life was her family and spending time and love on them. She also loved making gifts for her kids and grandkids such as baby blankets, wedding quilts, cross-stitch memorials and pillow cases. She enjoyed playing the piano especially the hymns.
Survivors include: her husband, Gary, children, Dawn (Jon) Davis, Brent (Nancy) Phillippi, Janna (Doug) Fillmore, Jason (Rachael) Phillippi, Jim (Melissa) Phillippi, Jeff (Kelly) Phillippi, Nancy (Peter) Chatwin, Ashley (Drew) Juergens, 29 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her siblings, Dennis Larson, Grant Larson, Elizabeth Johnson, Ken Larson, Janey Nichols, Brian Larson. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Due to COVID-19 graveside services will be held Thursday June 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Highland Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday June 24, 2020 from 6 to 8 pm at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Am. Fork by appointment.
