Justin Nielsen

Justin Lee Nielsen, age 44 born on Mother’s Day, May 9, 1976, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2021.

Justin was an eagle scout and graduate of Pleasant Grove High School where he was surrounded by many friends and excelled both scholastically and in his extracurricular activities. He was a yell-leader, and on the golf team where he found his true passion in life.

Justin played in and won many golf tournaments over the years. As a member of Alpine Country Club, he made the course his second home and the friends he made there were like family. He captained the winning Alpine Ryder Cup championship team in 2018 and competed successfully in countless others. There truly was nowhere else he loved to spend his time more than on the golf course.

Always working hard, he generously gave support to those in need around him. He became a successful businessman who worked his way up from the sales floor of the auto business to general manager at several dealerships.

A music lover and classically trained pianist, Justin could be counted on to belt out the high notes at karaoke contests or anyplace he was just feeling it. Shortly after high school he was the lead singer in the band Tempus Fugit, producing a CD and giving Eddie Vedder a run for his money. A fan for life, he saw the band Tool in concert 38 times.

Justin loved being a dad and uncle. He is survived by his sons Treytan and Kaden, his brothers, Brian (Tami), Keith (Terra), Thomas (Annie), and his parents Rex and Connie Nielsen.

Everyone will miss his warmth, bright blue eyes, luscious locks and tight hugs.

Funeral Services will be held at Anderson & Sons Mortuary Lone Peak Chapel ,6141 W 11000 N, Highland, UT 84003, between 1 and 3 pm Wednesday May 12, 2021.
