Jacklon Day

August 3, 1955 — September 11, 2021

Jacklon Schmidtke Day, 66, passed away September 11, 2021 in Cedar Hills, Utah surrounded by her loving family.  She was born August 3, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Albert August Schmidtke and Effie Elizabeth McCombs Schmidkte.  She married Alma Bradley Day, September 17, 1971 in Sandy, Utah.  Brad passed away earlier this year, and it seemed only fitting that she join him on the week of their 50th anniversary.

Jackie loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild, and loved supporting them in everything they did.  She also loved cooking, baking, gardening, and canning.  And enjoyed other crafts like sewing, crocheting and quilting.  She was a great Nana to her grandchildren, and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children: Kim (John) Montague, Brad (Rachel) Day, Aaron (Lychelle) Day, Shea (Randy) Barnes, 17 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, siblings: Ann Despain, Donna English, Linda Kowaliw, Terry Schmidtke, Joe Schmitke, Carl Schmidtke, Helen Bailey.  Preceded in death by her husband, Alma “Bradley” Day, parents, sisters, Agnes Marino and Alene Carson, and her daughter, Brooke Day.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 12:00 Noon in Alpine City Cemetery, 300 East 445 North, Alpine.  A viewing will be held from 10:30-11:30 AM at Anderson & Sons Lone Peak, 6141 West 11000 North, Highland.  Please share a memory at andersonmortuary.com.
