Eddie was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a kind man who loved the scriptures and his Savior. For many, Eddie was their steady rock in a sea of storms. He served in many capacities within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including two Bishoprics, High Priest Group leader, and Sunday School teacher.

Eddie was involved with decades of cheerful service as a volunteer in Boy Scouts of America locally, regionally, and nationally. He served as Course Director for Woodbadge and faculty of Philmont Scout Ranch. Eddie received the Silver Beaver Award by the council for his service to the Boy Scouts of America.

Eddie was a graduate of Brigham Young University and a fount of knowledge on various topics including history, movies, music, and poetry. He had a smile that could light up a room, beaming and radiant energy, and a sense of humor like no other. He had a profound love of music and travel and was a long-time sports fan of BYU, attending countless games.

Eddie and his family traveled the world far and wide, his most beloved places being the Caribbean Islands and La’ie, Hawaii, where he was sealed to Catherine for time and all eternity. Countless hours were spent on the oceanside, exploring beaches, cruising, camping trips, and most importantly, family time, which have created cherished memories that will last in the minds and hearts of his loved ones forever.
