Colton Bacon

November 27, 1993 — August 12, 2020

Colton Stephen Bacon, 26, passed away on August 12, 2020. He was born in Brigham City, Utah, on November 27, 1993. From an early age Colton was active and very playful. He loved playing outside with his siblings and friends or riding around on anything with wheels.

Colton spent his early years in Promontory, Provo, Heber, Lehi, and Eagle Mountain, Utah. His family then moved to Saratoga Springs, Utah, where he attended Westlake High School and earned his diploma in 2012. Some of Colton’s hobbies included listening to music, playing video games, and spending time outdoors. He loved cars and enjoyed watching sports, especially rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and watching UFC with his dad.

He was very compassionate and tender hearted. Children gravitated toward Colton because of his playful spirit and kind soul.

Colton was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From a young age, he was very spiritual and had a great love for our Savior. Colton was called to serve in the Spanish-speaking Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission. He loved to teach and connect with the people of that community.

Colton enjoyed learning new skills and applying them to his line of work. At the time of his death, he worked at Litho Flexo Grafics as a press operator. He had great coworkers who became close friends of his.

Colton's physical and emotional burdens were too heavy to bear and he chose to end his life. We are grateful to know he is now free from those burdens, in the arms of our loving Heavenly Father. If you are struggling with feelings of depression or thoughts of suicide, please confide in someone you trust and seek help.

Left behind to cherish Colton’s memory are his loving parents, Stephen and Corrina Bacon; siblings Brittney (James) Buskirk and their children Brooklyn and Emmett, Cameron (Morgan) Bacon and their son Ford, and Alyssa Bacon; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and grandparents, Shannon Bacon and Delbert and Doreen Jay. Colton is preceded in death by his brother Jaylen Bacon, Grandfather Dennis Bacon, Uncle Robbie Robinson, Cousin Dallin Bacon, and nephews Oak and Alder Bacon.
