Cal (Calvin) Miller

October 28, 1956 — October 21, 2021

On Thursday, October 21, 2021 Cal F. Miller (Calvin)  passed away in Lehi, Utah.  He was born October 28, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Calvin LaMar Miller and Cleyon Retta Firmage Miller.  He married Kandis Kay Holmes in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 20, 2014.

His greatest passion was restoring old cars and riding his Harley.  He particularly loved to take what others saw as junk and turn it into something beautiful or what he called, “taking junk and bringing it back to life”.  He loved working out at the gym. He was strong and resilient. Rough and tough outer exterior with a gentle giant loving heart of gold. Willing to give anything and everything he had never asked for anything in return.  His true passion was; however, being a police officer. Specifically being the Loan Peak Motor Cop. He truly loved riding the parades, interacting with the citizens while showing off awesome maneuvers alongside his fellow officers in trust would follow his wild side lead.  He epitomized the calling to serve and protect.  He was always finding ways to serve others even after his retirement he continued to patrol his neighborhood looking for ways to serve and protect others.  He was well loved and revered for his service in the Dare Program and will forever be remembered by the families whose lives were changed through his years of selfless service.  He was particularly fond of working with children, so much so that a close friend’s son Zacky insisted on taking Cal to his show-and-tell at school. He saved and changed so many lives throughout his journey. Anyone that was blessed to have met him no matter the situation he left a loving imprint in their heart permanently.

He is survived by his wife Kandis Miller. Sister Cathy (Matt) Stapish. daughter, Melissa Olsen 1 Grand daughter Isabelle.  Son, Wyatt Emmett, His parents in-law Antone and Cindy Holmes.  Closest friends/Family Travis (Alyssa) Eddington and their daughter BLAKELY. Mike (Sophea) Pearson, their son SKYLER and daughter  Shalice and her baby girl. Niece  Allie (Austinn) Howard and their daughter KINSLEY,  Nephew Dylan Barnes, Sister in-law Erica McCoy.  His cousin Roger Firmage. There are so many family and friends. Too many to list. Just know you all meant so much to him. Thank you all so much. May Angels surround and comfort you throughout this life.

He is preceded in death by his Grandparents Andrew Adamson Firmage and Mary Cleyo Ashton Firmage his parents Calvin L. Miller and Cleyon Firmage Miller, a very close dear  friend, mentor  and former Police Chief Donald Kip Botkin. A very close friend and mentor Jerry Lockhart.  Thank you all for welcoming Cal as he returned home with you..
