Winston Michael Faux, a beloved member of our community, peacefully passed away on June 12, 2026, in South Jordan, Utah. Born on April 8, 1933, in Salt Lake City to Merrill Charles Faux and Edna Michelsen Faux, Winston lived a life full of love, adventure, and service.
Winston will be fondly remembered for his warm heart and kind spirit. He married the love of his life, Marjorie Ann Lingwood, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 23, 1967, and together they built a vibrant family filled with joy and laughter.
Winston had an adventurous soul; he was passionate about traveling, and he loved nothing more than to dance with Marjorie and their children. His travels took him from the enchanting landscapes of England to the sunny shores of California, where he created countless cherished memories. In his youth, he won a remarkable trip around the world from the Deseret News, delighting family and friends with captivating stories of his journeys.
A dedicated attorney for the State of Utah, Winston was a hardworking man who cherished his profession. His devotion extended well beyond his career; he was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in numerous callings and particularly enjoyed singing in the ward choir. His mission to South Africa held a special place in his heart, as did his service in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
