It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude that we announce the passing of William Albert Holman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. William, affectionately known as "Bill," departed this world on May 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion.
Born on August 16, 1940, Bill embraced life with an adventurous spirit and a passion for the great outdoors. He found solace and joy in fishing at Deer Creek and Strawberry Reservoir, where he created countless cherished memories, both alone and with family and friends. An ardent lover of camping, Bill relished in the tranquility of nature, often inspiring those around him to appreciate the beauty that surrounded them.
Bill dedicated a significant part of his life to serving his community. A proud member of the American Legion Post, he represented the values of camaraderie and service with honor. He touched the lives of many through his involvement in the Foster Grandparent Program at Shelley Elementary, where he tutored and mentored children, sharing his wisdom and encouragement with those who needed it most. His gentle guidance inspired countless young minds and left an indelible mark on their hearts.
William is survived by his devoted wife, Karen, and his loving children, Willy (Carolyn), Michelle (Korri) Volen, and Eric (Charlene) Holman. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather to Maya Volen and Leiandra, nurturing them with his warmth, affection, and unwavering support. Bill also leaves behind his cherished sister Diane with whom he shared countless joyful moments and memories.
Bill was preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother Larry Holman, and his beloved niece, Diane's daughter, Nicole who will be waiting with open arms to greet him.
