Wanda Aston

Wanda Aston, 99, passed away on October 26, 2022, in Oakley, Utah. Wanda was born August 7,1923 on the family farm in Vineyard, Utah to Stella Hebertson Sorenson and Joseph Sorenson.

Wanda married Horace "Benny" Aston on December 15, 1944 in Provo, Utah. Their union was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple. Together, Wanda and Benny raised a loving family and supported one another until his passing on August 27,2014.

Wanda loved crafts, wood working and was particularly skilled in sewing. She made countless quilts and blankets for her kids and grandkids.

Wanda loved the outdoors, she spent many years helping her husband in their logging business in the Uintah Mountains. She truly loved spending time at their cabin with her kids and grandkids.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael (Debra), Paul (Patty), Julie (Sheree), Eight grandsons: Cody, Shayne, Trever, Bret, Ryan, TJ, Justin and Brandon; 9 Great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Arlene Sorenson.

Wanda is preceded in death by her eternal companion, Horace Aston; her parents, Joseph Hans Otto Sorenson and Stella Hebertson Sorenson; siblings Rex Sorenson, Rita Hicks, Glade Sorenson and brother-in-law Nile Hicks.

The graveside service for Wanda Aston will be held on Friday, November 4th at 11:00 AM at the American Fork Cemetery, 600 North Center Street. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:45-10:40 AM at the American Fork location of Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North.
