Trevor Yeo

Trevor Yeo, a master plumber, devoted family man, and adventurous spirit, passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 85.

From Essex to the States

Born on June 15, 1940, in Essex, England, Trevor was the second of three sons born to James and Vera Yeo. He grew up in England alongside his older brother, John, and his younger brother, Royston.

In 1960, Trevor married his beloved wife, Sandra. In 1964, the couple made the life-changing journey of emigrating from England to the United States. Together, they built a vibrant life in America, rooted in hard work and a deep commitment to their five children.

The Family "MacGyver"

Trevor was a Master Plumber by trade, but his skills went far beyond pipes and wrenches. He was the ultimate handyman, capable of repairing anything that broke. His children affectionately nicknamed him "MacGyver" because of his legendary ability to find a solution to any mechanical problem. Whether it was a home repair or a complex puzzle, Trevor had the patience and the brilliance to see it through.

An avid motorcycle enthusiast in his younger years, Trevor famously sold his bike when his son Robert was born to ensure he could provide for his growing family. It was a testament to his character-a man of quiet strength who always put his family's needs above his own passions.

In his downtime, Trevor enjoyed photography, stamp collecting, and the simple pleasure of a good snack, especially potato chips and bacon. However, his heart always belonged to the classic English comfort of a hearty steak and kidney pudding. 

A Lasting Legacy

Trevor's greatest pride was the large, loving family he and Sandra built together. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Yeo; his children, Julie (James), Steven (Tomoko), Robert (Cynthia), and David; his 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Mark.

We invite friends and family to join us in celebration of Trevor's life. Services will be held on Saturday, the 24th at 1 pm at the Matterhorn ward building at 285 North Matterhorn Drive alpine, Utah. Prior to the services, a viewing will be held from 11:45 to 12:45 in the same building.

He will be remembered as a provider, a problem-solver, and a man who could fix anything-except, perhaps, the hole his absence leaves in the hearts of those who loved him.
