Tian Stancliff

September 4, 2020 — November 8, 2021

Tian Darrell Stancliff entered this world September 04, 2020, born to Thomas and Meagan Stancliff in Lehi, Utah.  Tian, a sunshiney ray of light, was one surprise after another.  He made his way into the world just when he wanted to, and showed up with the fairest blonde hair and sky blue eyes.  All of Tian's siblings and both of his parents had dark hair and eyes, so he broke that Stancliff mold with flourish.  Before Tian was born, his sisters had said they could only love a baby sister, and were hoping he would be born a girl.  It turns out he could win over anyone, and Tian was smothered in hugs and kisses immediately, boy and all.  His siblings were so intent on getting snuggles, that a timer had to be set to ensure equal time with their hot commodity baby brother.  They loved to feed him and help him, and poke and prod him, he was surrounded constantly with love.  Sleep was optional for Tian much of the time.  He must have known that every moment with his parents would be precious, and naps were only taken if he were nestled in his Mom's arms.  Though his experienced parents had lots of sleep tricks of the trade, he resisted often, and got plenty of one-on-one time in the wee hours of the night.  Tian helped Tom and Meagan's bed become a morning family hotspot - the family would all pile in, they wanted to see Tian first thing.  Tian would greet his Dad in the morning with a roar and a baby tackle as he was plopped on Daddy's chest.  He roared often, it was a signature Tian communication.  He also loved to dance with his Daddy - holding his hand up to signal he was ready.  Tian had a world-class giggle, and his brother Jimmy could make him giggle like no one else.  Tian learned early to wave at everyone in the grocery store, and made friends there by flashing his coy smile and sparkly eyes.  His smile lit up his whole face - joy just radiated from his little body.  He taught pure, guileless love, that infused his family with the same.  His sweet life was spent snuggling, cuddling, laughing, smiling, and making every day brighter for his family.  Tian's parents learned from Tian that a to-do list was less important than slowing down and enjoying life with a baby.  He will always be remembered and forever be in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.  Tian is survived by his parents Meagan Flake and Thomas Dale Stancliff, and his siblings Jim Dale, Thaya Grace, Bridgette Jeanell, and Ralph Thomas.
