1960 - 2022
Thomas Scott Price, 62, of Syracuse, Utah, passed away July 21, 2022, in St. George, Utah, surrounded by his family. He was born January 20, 1960, in Provo, Utah, the son of James William “Bill” Price and Judy Kay McClain Price. Scott married Tanya Stipetic in 1984 in the Provo Temple. Later divorced. They have a daughter, Tyffany Stipetic, of Arvada, Colorado.
Upon graduation from American Fork High School, Scott served a mission in Manchester England. He loved his mission and companions and returned many times to research family history and cheer for Liverpool FC. Scott earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University and a Master’s Degree from Utah State University. Scott enjoyed cheering for BYU athletic teams.
Scott taught Special Education at Syracuse Jr High for 26 years before retiring in 2021. He was proud to have led his class in contributing artwork for the Utah Quarter. He and his students were recognized by Governor Huntsman and the United States Mint for having the chosen design from more than 4,000 entries. More than 508,200,000 Utah quarters were minted in 2007.
Survivors include his daughter: Tyffany (Charles Bland and son Evan Bland); Brothers and Sisters, Diane (Joel), Jim (Suzy), Kellie (Bill), Keith (Dana), David (Tami), Matt (Tiffani), Becky (Bob), Stacy, Rocky (Shaleace), and 37 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters Julie, Heidi, and Trisha. Funeral services for Scott will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Utah. The viewing will be held prior to the funeral Saturday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah. Please share a memory at andersonmortuary.com.
