Teresa Park

September 17, 1966 — May 19, 2024

On Sunday, May 19, 2024, Teresa Ann George Park passed from this life and joined the heavenly angels on the other side. Surely nearby was her dear mom, LuDean, who preceded her in death. Teresa passed away peacefully, surrounded by family after a two year and seven-month battle with breast cancer.

Teresa was born September 17, 1966, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was the second of four daughters born to William Seth and LuDean Pyper George.

Teresa attended BYU-Provo and BYU-Hawaii, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications. She was the first female sportscaster on KBYU TV. She was an avid sports fan. She loved baseball, especially her Los Angeles Dodgers.

Teresa had a successful career in marketing. Her most recent years were spent working for Palm, Market Star, Fitbit, and Google. Many of her co-workers became like family to her. She considered these bonds a highlight of her career.

Teresa created lifelong friendships throughout her childhood, college years, and the years she spent living in Salt Lake City, Utah and Palo Alto, California. These lasting friendships were priceless to her. They changed the direction of her life, her experiences, and her opportunities.

Teresa was a world traveler and always up for an adventure. She especially loved beaches and sunshine. She visited 25 countries. Favorites among these: sailing in Marbella, Spain, scuba diving in Belize, riding motorcycles through Vietnam and Angkor Wat, Cambodia, rafting down the Zambezi River in Africa, riding elephants through Thailand and rappelling in Costa Rica.

On October 23, 2009, at Sundance Resort in Utah, Teresa married her loving and devoted husband, Brandon Park. Teresa loved how Brandon always kept her laughing. They enjoyed traveling and adventuring together. In their most recent years, their adventures needed to be closer to home. Together they enjoyed exploring the beautiful Utah scenery and mountains on their Razor. This was a special time they both loved.

When Teresa and Brandon married, she took on one of her most beloved roles, as bonus mom to Emma, Gabe, and Lauren. She loved being involved in the details of their lives and supporting them in their schoolwork, sporting events, and activities. Teresa became part of their lives when they were in elementary school and loved watching them grow and develop. She was so proud of the young adults they have become.

Teresa was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong faith in the Savior and was a Christlike example to all who knew her. She spread love and light to others. She was known for always being accepting and loving to everyone.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Brandon Park; children, Emma Park, Gabriel Park, and Lauren Park; her father, William George; sisters, Jennifer Whidden (Graydon), Amy Rich (Scott), and Melissa Wiebold (Tom); her father-in-law, Terry Park; and mother-in-law, Paulette Park; as well as her many nieces and nephews who loved and adored her.

Teresa and her family would like to express a very special thanks to Dr. Mei Wei and all of the amazing staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute for the care they provided.

A celebration of life will be held in Teresa's honor on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the LDS chapel, 750 W 4050 N, Lehi, Utah 84043. Prior to the services, a visitation will be held from 9:45 to 10:45 AM.
