Sharon Ward passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 17, 2020 after a long and brave fight with cancer. She was surrounded by her children, brother, and dear friends.
Our sweet mother was born August 6, 1948 in Casper, WY to Lawrence and Cleo Kirkpatrick. She graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper, then completed her bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University in 1971. She taught first grade for 8 years and preschool for 14 years.
She devoted most of her life to her children. She moved to Alpine, UT in 1978 and has lived in the same beloved family home ever since. She loved working in her yard and flowerbeds and making the world more beautiful. She loves Alpine and has served the community in countless ways in a variety of capacities. Her most loved pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren, making everything more fun and an adventure. There is nothing Sharon loved more than spending time with family and friends. She sacrificed in countless ways to show her love for all those she came in contact with. She dedicated her life to service and love for others.
Sharon is survived by her brother and sister-in-law , Larry and Gai Kirkpatrick of Queen Creek, AZ; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Alison Ward (Maci, Gavin, Delaney, and Jackson) of Nixa, MO; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Jonni Ward (Charles and Weston) of Glendora, CA; and six grandchildren.
