Sandra Ludlow, 75, passed away August 5, 2020 surrounded by family in American Fork, Utah. She was born March 16, 1945 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Daniel H. and Hannah Luene Leifson Ludlow. She lived in Logan, California, Indiana, New York, while her father worked on his degrees and then the family moved to Utah in 1955 where she attended Joaquin Elementary, Farrer Jr. High and graduated from Provo High School. Her family went to Stony Lake, MI, for 12 summers where she met her future husband, Don Huey. They were married in 1963 and moved to northern CA and in 1969 moved to Orem where they raised their family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many positions in Primary, Young Women and Relief Society. She loved her family and church service, especially with the Young Women and they have been getting together annually for nearly 40 years. With her husband they started Animal Ark pet shop in Provo. She also worked for many years editing papers for college students and was an amazing typist. She had many secretary jobs because she could type 120 words per minute with very few mistakes. She enjoyed working at Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe and also Sundance Resort. She also had a brief time working in real estate. After her divorce in 1983 she began her own business, TBI (Telecommunication Brokerage Inc), and was able to travel within many of the western states, before finding her true passion working in home health care.
Sandra enjoyed water and snow skiing and she had a talent for photography, especially photos of grandchildren and nature. She was an accomplished seamstress and made her own clothes, and could create anything from bean bags to wedding dresses. She loved shopping and had an eye for interior decorating and could really change the look of a room with just a few simple items. She created a lovely home and her grandchildren had their own designated play area in the basement that they all know and love. No holiday would go without notice and she decorated and hosted many family get togethers.
She is survived by her son Ken (Beverly) Huey and their children Nicholas (Adley) Huey, McKenzi (Dan) Prawitt, Shelby, Ryan, Landon and Rylee Huey; son David Huey and his daughter Lauren Huey; daughter Stephani (Scott) Young and their children Brooklyn Rose Ludlow and Owen Young, and three great grandchildren with two on the way.
