It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Marion Morgan on May 30, 2026. Ronald was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness, patience, and unwavering spirit of service.
Ronald was born on February 13, 1938 in Rigby, Idaho to Leo Milton Morgan and Juanita Andrus Morgan. He was known for his adventurous spirit, impeccable work ethic, and love of the outdoors. He enjoyed water skiing, boating, camping, and nurturing his garden, particularly his cherished raspberry plants. Raspberry ice cream and jam were made and gifted for many years. He was a dedicated peacemaker who loved to engage with everyone he met, always sharing a laugh and a smile.
Serving as Scout Master gave him the opportunity to help shape the lives of many young men. His commitment to service extended beyond his family; Ronald served an LDS mission in Cambodia alongside his beloved wife, where they made lasting connections and memories.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife Rilla (Payne) Morgan. He is survived by his children, Ronda (Gabe) Gutierrez, Robin (Steve) Timmerman, Roy (Doreen) Morgan, and Rachel Morgan. Ronald took great joy in his family and is survived by 22 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild who will continue to carry on his legacy of love and service.
Ron was also a cherished brother and is survived by his siblings: John (Sandy) Morgan, Jason (the late Jeannine) Morgan, Marilyn (Steve) Morgan, Timothy Morgan, and Daniel (Nancy) Morgan.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings; Milton Morgan, Leo Morgan, and Enid (Morgan) Nichols .
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Hills 3rd Ward in American Fork. A viewing will take place from 9:45 to 10:45 AM prior to the service. All who knew Ronald are invited to gather in remembrance of his remarkable life and the joy he brought to so many.
