With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Quinton Kapano'o Kalani Kanae, who left this world on January 5, 2026, at the age of 50. Born on March 9, 1975, in Sacramento, CA, Quinton was a proud Hawaiian/Samoan whose warmth, love, laughter, and kindness with his Aloha spirit and Q-tips have touched everyone he encountered.
Quinton was not just a devoted husband to his spouse, Robyn Kanae, but also a son whose heart belonged to both of his parents, Fagota Tupe and Francine Kanae. He found fulfillment in his role as an Inspector for Public Improvement in Saratoga Springs, where he approached his work with commitment and dedication.
A gentle soul with an adventurous heart, Quinton had a charm that could light up any room. He was known for his generosity and sense of humor, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
Quinton is survived by his loving wife, Robyn, their children: Kalei (Josh) Labajo, Kuuipo (Aubree) Kanae, Karlyn Kanae, and Kuulei (Marc) Tahauri. 6 grandchildren, 3 Godsons, His Parents: Fagota Tupe and Francine Kanae, His siblings: Kiva Tupe, Mike Tupe, Matt (Katie) Tupe, Malia (jared) Fudge, Hoku Kanae, Mano (Ruta), Kanae, Nalu Kanae, his stepfather: Fatu Kanae, His Parents-in-law: Robin (Lisa) Canencia. He is preceded in death by his stepmother, Julia Tupe, his mother-in-law, Marlene Canencia, and his grandparents, Henry and Alberta Preece.
In celebration of his life, family and friends will gather for public viewings on January 15, 2026, at Anderson and Sons in American Fork at 6:00 PM, and again on January 16, 2026, at Pointe Meadow 2nd Ward Chapel at 9:45 AM. The funeral service will take place on January 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM, also at the Pointe Meadow 2nd Ward Chapel.
After cremation, Quinton will be laid to rest in Hawaii.
