Pilar Aranda, a beloved mother, grandmother, and caregiver left this world on January 10, 2024, surrounded by love and with beautiful memories etched in the hearts of those who knew her. Born on April 14, 1949, in Lima, Peru, Pilar brought joy to the lives of everyone she encountered throughout her life's journey.

Pilar was a vibrant and outgoing person, known for her contagious laughter and ability to bring smiles to the faces of others. Her talent for humor and making funny faces, brought joy to her beloved grandchildren. There was never a dull moment when Pilar was around.

Nothing brought Pilar greater joy than gathering with her family to enjoy a delicious meal particularly ones that included the flavors of her beloved Peruvian cuisine with rice at its center.

Pilar possessed a dedication to care and nurture others, Pilar's role as an exceptional nurse and caregiver was a testament to her compassionate nature.

Family was at the core of Pilar's heart. As the oldest daughter, it came as no surprise that she embraced the responsibility of caring for her loved ones and ultimately her mother Carmen.

For over four decades, Pilar provided unwavering care and tenderness to her beloved mother, Carmen Segovia. Her dedication to their relationship exemplified love in its purest form, setting a remarkable example for future generations.

Pilar's memory will forever be cherished by her daughter Lisa (Darin) Young, her mother, Carmen, her grandchildren: Brooke (Mitch) Trowbridge, Brittany Sharp, Paige (Jake) Smith, Nickolas (Makayla) Young, Mike (Braxtyn) Young, Parker Young, and Preston Young, her great grandchildren Jaxson, Scarlet, Gracie, Remi, Greyson, Cameron, Jett, Reese and her siblings: Marco Valdivieso, Sonia Cain, Kotty Torrey, and Genie Walpole. She was preceded in death by her father Tulio Augusto Valdiviezo and her brother Pedro Valdivieso.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Pilar's life will be held at the Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North, Highland, Utah on January 18, 2024, at 11:00 am.

Her final resting place will be at Highland City Cemetery.

Pilar will forever be remembered for her warmth, laughter, and unwavering love for her family. May her spirit soar high, watching over all those whose lives she touched, as her memory lives on in our hearts.
