Patricia Ann Potter Loveless, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully Wednesday June 17th surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 6, 1950, in American Fork, Utah, to Orvil Delano Potter and Ivy Jeffs Potter.
Pat grew up alongside her siblings, Arlene, Orvil, Charlotte, and Ronald. She met the love of her life, Douglas Loveless, and they were married on December 13, 1968. Their marriage was built on unwavering love, devotion, and family. Their bond was so strong that they preceded each other in death by only three weeks.
Together, Pat and Doug raised five children: Robert, Tammy, Cristy, Wendy, and Tyrell. Family was always at the center of Pat's life, and she devoted herself to supporting and encouraging those she loved.
Pat worked for many years at the Utah State Developmental Center, Walmart, she spent her final working years at Danville, caring for individuals she loved dearly. Her compassion and dedication touched countless lives.
She was the biggest supporter of her children and grandchildren. Whether attending sporting events, school activities, or special milestones, she could always be found cheering loudly from the sidelines. Many knew her for her enthusiastic and unforgettable "Rock and Fire!" encouragement that became her trademark.
Pat loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Some of her happiest moments were spent gathered around a campfire or a simple backyard fire, roasting hot dogs and making memories with family.
Pat also had a deep love for music, especially the songs of Neil Diamond. Whether at home, in the car, or gathered with family, his music was often playing in the background. Her favorite songs brought back cherished memories and never failed to put a smile on her face. Family and friends will forever think of her whenever they hear a Neil Diamond tune.
Nothing brought her greater joy than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To them, she was affectionately known as "Grandma Goose" or "Goosie." She never let a visit pass without having a small treat ready most often a package of Red Vines, or extra buttery popcorn.
Pat is survived by her children, Robert (Shar), Tammy, Cristy (Bobbi), Wendy (Kirt), and Tyrell (Brindee); five grandsons and seven granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter expected to join the family in August. She is also survived by her sister, Charlotte; brother-in-law Dave (Kathy); brother-in-law Lionel Evans sisters-in-law Janet (Darren) and Valeta; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Doug; her parents, Orvil and Ivy Potter; her brothers, Orvil and Ronald; her sister, Arlene; brothers-in-law Dick and Jesse; and many beloved family members.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, at Anderson & Sons Mortuary. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Timpanogos Hospital for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Pat during her final days.
Pat's love, strength, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
