Nyla Healey

May 25, 1941 — August 18, 2025

With hearts full of love and memories, we celebrate the life of Nyla Jean Healey, who graced our lives from May 25, 1941, until her passing on August 18, 2025. Born in American Fork, Utah, Nyla was the cherished eldest daughter of Nyle and Nyhra Framton, growing up surrounded by the warmth of her 11 siblings in Pleasant Grove. This close-knit family was always the center of her world, and she was undoubtedly was loved by her extended family.... winning the hearts of even her great-grandchildren, who adored their "grandma great." The Healey family was sealed for time and all eternity on February 16, 2013.

Nyla discovered true love when she met her husband, Lynn, in high school. They tied the knot on September 9, 1958, in Manila, Utah, embarking on an adventure that would span nearly 67 years. Their journey took them across various places due to Lynn's work, but no matter where they went, they built a home filled with laughter, creativity, and love.

Nyla was immensely talented and poured her heart into making and painting porcelain dolls, each dressed in delightful homemade crocheted outfits for Barbie dolls. Her passion extended to beautiful nail designs, and her love for the color pink led her to create a warm and inviting home, painted in lovely shades of pinks and blues. Nyla was legendary for her homemade Christmas candy, a yearly delight that she lovingly shared with family and friends, spreading joy through her sweet creations.

Nyla is survived by her husband Lynn, children Melynda (Terry) Edwards, Cindy Healey Maughan, Teresa (George) Barber, Lyndy (Kyle) Woffinden, her 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Nile and Nyhra Draper, 2 brothers, her son-in-law Paul Maughan and 2 grandchildren Michael Edwards and Emily Edwards.

As we remembeNyla, we invite family and friends to honor her memory at a public viewing at Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel on August 23, 2025, at 9:45 a.m. Following the viewing, a graveside service will be held at Highland City Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Join us in celebrating the remarkable life of a woman who touched so many hearts and created a legacy of love, warmth, and creativity. Nyla will live on in our hearts, in our memories, and in the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
