Lynne Coleman

September 11, 1943 — July 7, 2024

Mary Lynne Nicholes Coleman, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, peacefully passed away on July 7, 2024, in Highland, UT at the age of 80. Born on September 11, 1943, in Provo, UT to Max and Mary Kane Nicholes, Lynne led a life filled with love, compassion, and devotion to her family. She dedicated herself to her role as a homemaker, raising her six children with grace and nurturing them with unwavering love.

Lynne graduated from Spanish Fork High School.  She then graduated from Brigham Young University, obtaining a Bachelor's degree, and later went on to marry Eldon Coleman, on February 22, 1969, in a sacred ceremony at The Manti Temple. Together, they built a life centered around family values and faith.

Throughout her life, Lynne found solace and joy in simple pleasures. An accomplished quilter and seamstress, she adorned her loved ones with handmade quilts and garments, showcasing her talent and devotion to those closest to her. Her green thumb created flourishing gardens, where she spent countless hours tending to her flowers and plants, finding peace in nature's beauty.  Lynne also enjoyed the beauties of America by traveling throughout the nation with her husband and visiting her grandchildren.

Lynne's passion for learning and literature was evident in her avid reading habits. She loved losing herself in a good book and could often be found at the local library, helping children discover the wonders of reading. She generously shared her time and talents with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various capacities and touching the lives of many.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Eldon Coleman; children, Keri (Mike) Heath, Allen (Jen) Coleman, Kevin (Juanita) Coleman, Paula (Enoch) Jurgens, Bruce (Yao) Coleman, Jill (James) Manning; 22 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Kent (Carolyn) Nicholes, Bill (Lynn) Nicholes, Carol Munford, Joyce (Blaine) Smith, John (KayLynn) Nicholes, Heber (LeAnne) Nicholes, Susan (Kip) Madson, Debra (Jim) Summers, Steven (Annette) Nicholes. She joins her parents Max and Mary Nicholes and a brother, Rulon Nicholes, in eternal peace.

A funeral service honoring Lynne's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Highland 4th Ward Chapel, 5848 West 11000 North, Highland, UT 84003.  Lynne's gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and legacy of love will forever be remembered in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
