MARSHALL RAY JONES

Marshall Ray Jones returned to his heavenly home last week and is now at peace.

Marshall was born on October 9, 1979 in Panorama City, California. He grew up in Granada Hills until his family moved to the Antelope Valley in 1987. Marshall graduated from Littlerock High School (Class of 1997) and moved to Utah in 2008.

From an early age, Marshall was a gifted musician and his love of music was known by all around him. It was rare to see him without a guitar in his hands. He often performed in bands and with his family in talent shows. He helped his sister write a song for her wedding and they performed it together. Any time he could reunite with his brother they would spend hours playing music and writing songs.

Marshall had a big heart and loved his children, Kai, Aubrey and Dottie. He always made sure to tell them he was proud of them. He shared his love of music with them, making up funny songs to sing to them when they were young and always allowing them to jam with him. And although they lived apart the past two years, Marshall always made sure they knew he missed them and loved them.

He and his wife Crystal cherished each other. During their hardest struggles they stood together, doing their best to support one another.

Marshall was a talented commercial plumber and worked on high-profile hotel remodels and new buildings in Salt Lake City. He was known as a hard worker and was very meticulous with his craft. Always the perfectionist, he was the lead plumber on many projects and often asked to train new plumbers.

Marshall is and will be tremendously missed by his family until they are reunited. He is survived by his wife Crystal; his children Kai, Aubrey and Dottie and his stepdaughter Madeline (Olsen); his parents Jim and Lisa; his brother Keith, sisters Jamie (Moffitt), April (Omalza), and Kelsey (Moreau), and their spouses; many nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Sarai Jones.
