Madalyn Fillmore

December 23, 1997 — December 17, 2020

Madalyn Noelle Fillmore (22) passed away in Provo, Utah after a motor vehicle accident on December 17, 2020. She was born December 23,1997, to Mark and Kimberlee Fillmore. Maddie is a graduate of Lehi High School, and she went on to attend Brigham Young University–Idaho where she graduated this past spring, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. She worked as a receptionist for Revere Cardiology in Provo as well as for Hale Center Theater Orem. From a young age, Maddie was drawn to the stage and loved to perform. This grew into a lifelong passion for all things musical theater. She used her talents and enthusiasm for theater to bring joy to others. Whether performing on stage or working behind the scenes, Maddie considered any theater her home. Her greatest dream was to one day work on Broadway for Playbill in New York. Maddie developed a keen eye for graphic design and photography while at BYU–I, although her real joy was in event management. She was able to combine her love for events and theater by being on the Center Stage staff, and she always provided the best experience for the guest performers.

As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Maddie had numerous opportunities to serve and to minister to many. She served in many callings as well as Relief Society President of her BYU–I ward. Maddie’s personality was loving, full of energy, and she always had a smile for everyone. She made friends easily, and those around her felt genuinely loved. Her optimism for life and her kind heart radiated through her beautiful countenance, and anyone who spent time with her knew how much she loved her family.

Maddie is survived by her parents Mark and Kimberlee Fillmore, her brother Zach, sister Abigail and sister Paisley, her grandparents Dale and Kathy Fillmore and Dave and Pam Hirschi, and her great-grandmother Carol Hirschi, as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
