Lynn Call

October 1, 1942 — September 21, 2023

Lynn Smith Call, a devoted husband and loving father, passed away at home due to complications of bladder cancer on September 21, 2023, at the age of 80. He was born on October 1, 1942, in Fresno, California, to Everard Christian Call and Beth Smith Call.

Lynn graduated BYU and took over his dad's dental practice. He fulfilled his dream of earning a private pilot's license and flew between California and Utah every week for 10 years. Lynn also found joy in the great outdoors and was an avid cyclist to the end. A hardcore DIYer, Lynn was also known for his incredible talents with fixing and building literally anything. Some of his hobbies included cars, electrical engineering, and ham radios.

Above all, Lynn was a selfless individual who always placed the needs of others above his own. He loved spending quality time with his beloved family, cherishing every moment they shared together. His devotion to his wife was an example of Christlike love. His grandchildren were the light of his life.

Lynn's faith was an integral part of his life. He served in many functions and callings, including as bishop, for The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, magnifying all of them and making an impact on those he ministered to. He served a mission in France, spreading the message of the Savior's love.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Janeal; children, Sean (Audra) Call, Shari Call, Janean (Dave) Smith, Darren Call, Danielle (Rick) Harrell; 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Noel (Tina) Call. He is preceded in death by his parents, Everard and Beth; brothers Kent Call and Kurt Call; and his granddaughterAngela Harrell.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Moyle Park Ward chapel, 1125 E Alpine Blvd. The funeral will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Moyle Park Ward chapel, with a viewing prior to the services from 10:00-10:45 AM. His body will be laid to rest in the Highland City Cemetery.

We, as a family, look forward to being reunited with our father again. We love you, Dad.
