Louise "Wez" Sarah Christensen Chanak, age 89, passed away April 12, 2015 in American Fork, Utah. Born May 30, 1925 in American Fork, Utah to Marion Hans and Rintha Florence Greene Christensen. She married Ray Dean Christensen in 1943 and later married Peter Chanak.
"Wez" worked for Geneva Steel for 40 years, and was a member of the Junior Arlitra. She enjoyed golfing, skiing, bowling, and playing bridge. She was a member of the LDS church.
She is survived by her daughter Joan (Gary) Baugh; grandchildren: Gavin (Melody) Baugh, Maren Baugh, Jennifer Baugh, Lindsay (Brandt) Adams, G. Adam (Kim) Baugh, Courtney (Jonathan) Kistemann, 18 great grandchildren: Sydney, Chandler, Kyra, Hannah, Jayden, Kylie, Lauren, Hailey, Brianna, Brandon, Samantha, Kali, Emma, Cloe, Wrigley, Sawyer, Sarah and Evan, sister-in-law, Marilyn Christensen and her loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Sherman H. Christensen.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork. Please share a memory at andersonmortuary.com.
She is loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
