Lisa Anne Johnson

July 29, 1960 — October 19, 2025

Our beautiful sister, mother, aunt and friend, Lisa Anne Johnson was born on July 29, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah and passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She is survived by her two children, Christopher Michael Johnson and Alyssa. Also, her siblings: Jessie Love, Pamela Cohen, Alison Chuntz, Christopher Cowden, Evan Johnson, Melinda Clark, Aaron Johnson, Wendy Smith and Lisbeth Carter. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Bernell and Betty Jane Lewis Johnson.

Lisa grew up with her family in Canyon Country, California. During high school she taught preschool and loved to work with children. Lisa was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also served in the United States Navy. Lisa has always been a giving and very loving person. She had a lot of talents and hobbies. One of them was sewing homemade cross-stitch baby quilts and bibs for her children and others. She loved to crochet and make latch hook rugs. Lisa also loved to cook. Her favorite foods were pizza, bagels and anything chocolate! One of Lisa's favorite things was teddy bears, any size and color but just be sure they were soft!

Lisa had a laugh that was contagious and made everyone around her feel happy. She would often laugh when something was funny and you could hear her from far away. Lisa loved her family and especially her son Chris Johnson, who came to visit her often.

Lisa navigated a life filled with challenges, and yet, through it all, she never lost her sweet and loving spirit. That gentle light stayed with her, even when so much else was uncertain.

We are grateful Lisa is now free from the weight of this life. She is running through heaven laughing and singing songs of joy, grateful to be free of her physical challenges and the cares of this earthly life. We love you and will miss you until we meet again.
