LaRae Greenwood, 91, passed away on December 22, 2021, in Lehi, UT at Covington Senior
Living. LaRae was born in American Fork, UT to Thomas Montague and Electa Sperry Tidwell.
LaRae married Robert D. Greenwood on November 10, 1948 and was sealed for time and all
eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple.
LaRae loved to bowl and sew and especially loved cooking Christmas breakfast where family
would all gather and and open gifts she selected so carefully. She loved spending time with
her four-legged friend, Sophie as well as camping, fishing, and spending time at the cabin.
LaRae also enjoyed her work as Director of Volunteers at American Fork Hospital and made
many fond acquaintances and many lifelong friends.
LaRae is survived by her son Tom (Susan) Greenwood, daughter Jill (Clint) Devitt, son-in-law
Bruce Thomas and 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
LaRae is preceded in death by her eternal companion, Robert D. Greenwood; her parents
Thomas Montague Tidwell and Electa Minerva Sperry Smith; her in-laws David L. and Glenda
Gathrum Greenwood, a daughter Raquel Thomas; a son Robert Michael Greenwood; siblings
Kenneth Smith, Maxine Nelson, Helen Thompson, and Lois Tidwell.
The service for LaRae Greenwood will be held on Wednesday, December 29 at 11:00 AM at
the American Fork 30th Ward Chapel located at 270 N. 900 E. American Fork UT. A viewing will
be held Tuesday, December 28th from 6:00 - 8:00p.m., at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49
East 100 North, American Fork and at 9:45-10:45 am at the church, prior to the services on
Wednesday. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery.
