With hearts forever changed, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Krew Jon Remington, who returned to his Heavenly Father on July 8, 2026, at just 12 days old.
Though Krew's time on earth was brief, his life was full of purpose, love, and light. Shortly after birth, Krew was diagnosed with four complex congenital heart abnormalities. Every one of his 12 precious days was spent at Primary Children's Hospital, where he became so much more than a patient. Krew quickly captured the hearts of everyone in the cardiac unit. His favorite cardiologist even jokingly asked him on his very first "date"-a memory that will always bring a smile through our tears.
Krew proudly carried the name Jon, given in honor of his grandfather who passed away just the year before. Though they never had the opportunity to meet on earth, we find comfort in believing that they now know one another perfectly. The name he carried was a reminder that the bonds of family extend far beyond this life and that love continues through generations and into eternity.
Krew was our little fighter. Despite countless tests, procedures, monitors, and wires, he faced every challenge with remarkable peace. There was a calmness about him that seemed far beyond his days. Though his earthly heart was imperfect, the love he gave and inspired was anything but. He radiated a light that touched not only those fortunate enough to meet him but also countless others who came to know his story.
He loved his binky, being wrapped snugly in a warm swaddle, and most of all, being held close in the arms of those who loved him. He found comfort in cuddles and brought comfort in return. For such a tiny newborn, Krew seemed incredibly aware. He knew his mom and dad. He recognized the voices and touch of those who loved him. We believe he was surrounded by loved ones from the other side, preparing him for his journey home.
Krew was born to Joshua and Jessica Remington, who loved him with every part of their hearts. Not a single day passed that he didn't know how deeply he was cherished. Every moment they were given with him was spent loving him, comforting him, praying over him, and reminding him that he was never alone. Though they longed for a lifetime together, they are forever grateful for the priceless gift of those twelve sacred days.
As we grieve his absence, we find peace in the eternal promises of the gospel of Jesus Christ and in the knowledge that families are forever.
Joseph Smith taught, "The Lord takes away many even in infancy that they may escape the envy of man and the sorrows and evil of this present world. They were too pure, too lovely to live on earth. Therefore, if rightly considered, instead of mourning we have reason to rejoice, as they are delivered from evil, and we shall soon have them again."
We know that Krew has returned to his heavenly home to continue his eternal journey alongside his Heavenly Father and Savior. Though we ache to hold him again, we rejoice in knowing that he is whole, free from pain, and surrounded by perfect love.
Krew's life reminds us that the measure of a life is never found in its length but in the love it leaves behind. In just twelve days, he changed us forever. He softened hearts, strengthened faith, inspired hope, and taught us that even the smallest hands can leave the deepest imprint on the souls of those who love them.
Our sweet Krew, you will always be our son. You will always be loved beyond words, missed beyond measure, and remembered every day of our lives. Until the joyful day we are together again, we will carry you in our hearts, honor your memory, and strive to live worthy of the eternal family we know we will one day embrace again.
Forever our little fighter. Forever our little miracle. Forever our son.
