Kenneth Wootton

Kenneth Virgil Wootton, age 68, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 8, 2015, in Lindon, Utah.
Kenneth was born on February 17, 1947, to Virgil Bert and Kathryn Bird Wootton in American Fork, Utah. He graduated from American Fork High School. Ken served a LDS mission in the Northern States. He graduated with his associates degree from Utah Technical College. He married his sweetheart, Nila Mae Smith on November 27, 1968, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He worked in the audiovisual industry. Ken loved working for the LDS Church, traveling the world, working in the temples and sharing his experiences. He loved spending time with his family camping, fishing, and traveling. He also enjoyed spending time in his yard, garden, and wood workshop. He always had various projects he was working on. Ken was an active member in the LDS Church and loved serving our Heavenly Father in various capacities.
Ken is survived by his wife, Nila, daughters Kathy (Cory) Bekkemellom and Heidi (Jeremy) Reckling, eight grandchildren, father, Virgil, and siblings Marsha Worlton, Kristeen Fillmore, and Lynn Wootton. He was preceded in death by his son, Neil Kenneth Wootton and mother, Kathryn. Ken leaves a legacy of love, service, hope, and faith. Dad, we love you and will miss you every day until we meet again.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Lindon 18th Ward, 1030 West 1600 North, Orem. Viewings will be Friday at 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Saturday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment at the American Fork Cemetery.
