Kathryn Proctor

May 6, 1927 — May 15, 2024

Kathryn Saxton Proctor passed away on May 15, 2024, in Lehi, Utah. Kathryn was born on May 6, 1927, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Warren and Myrl Saxton. She spent her life sharing love, kindness, and delicious meals with all who knew her.

On February 14th, 1946, Kathryn married her eternal valentine, Dan Quintin Proctor, in Provo, Utah. They were sealed for time and all eternity the following year in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together, they conquered all of life's challenges and embraced their many blessings. Five of those blessings came in the form of their five children, on whom Kathryn doted. Kathryn dedicated her time to create a warm and loving home for her family.

Kathryn's passion for cooking led her to work as a cook at Clear Creek for 11 years, where her culinary talents brought joy to many. She found great joy in her role as a mother and wife, always putting her family's needs before her own. Kathryn was a woman of compassion, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

She cherished her time spent at girls camp and her numerous hikes up Mt Timpanogos. Kathryn's cheerful spirit and warm personality will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Kathryn is survived by her children, Charlene Diehl, Greg (Connie) Proctor, W. Dan (Gina) Proctor, Curtis Saxton Proctor; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Quintin; parents, Warren and Myrl; son, Robert Michael Proctor; sister, Ila Iverson; and brother, John Saxton

In honoring Kathryn's memory, let us remember her for the love, joy, and comfort she brought into our lives. She may have left this world, but her spirit and the memories she created will forever remain in our hearts.

We are especially grateful to the wonderful caregivers at Covington Assisted living and Renew Hospice for their tender loving care of Mom. She cherished each of you. We also want to acknowledge the residents who shared kindness and grace, uniting as a new family in this new home - a home filled with love, support, encouragement, and the promise of lifelong memories for each new day

A funeral service to celebrate Kathryn's life will be held at American Fork 5th Ward Chapel, 381 South 300 East, American Fork, UT  84003, on May 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be an hour prior to the services at the 5th Ward Chapel.
