Joseph Charles Williams (Charlie), 79, of Alpine, Utah passed away in Lehi, Utah on October 14, 2021. Born May 20, 1942 in Evanston, Wyoming the son of Joseph Heber Williams and Nolda Ilene Passey. He married Gloria Sue Nelson August 10, 1962 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Charlie loved horseback riding, farming, gardening, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He loved riding horses with his friends in American Fork Canyon and was very knowledgeable about the best trails to access the beauty of the area. Throughout his career he worked for various companies including Eimco, Signetics, and he retired from Becton Dickinson. He held various church callings including positions in Scouting, Sunday school and High Priest Group Leadership. He also served in the River Meadows Branch which was a particularly meaningful calling to him.
He will always be remembered for his kindness as a father, friend and neighbor who loved serving all those around him. Survivors include: children, Julie (Jesse) Valois, Wade (Bobi Jo) Williams, Jill (Kim) Broadhead, Rod (Joy) Williams 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a brother Phillip Williams and a sister Alice Price. He is preceded in death by his wife Sue, his parents, and his siblings Louise Fackrell, Lois Hyde, Roy John Williams, and Darrell Williams. Funeral services will be held Friday October 22, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Alpine Creekside Ward, 327 South Long Drive, Alpine. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North, Highland and Friday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45am prior to the services. Burial in the Alpine Cemetery.
