Jex Gibeault

Oct 4, 2026 — Oct 4, 2026

To our miracle baby boy, Jex.

On January 6th, 2026, you were just a small miracle embryo to us. We knew you had so much potential, and yet were something so precious and something we protected fiercly to give you the best possible outcome. Once you were implanted into mom, we hoped and prayed for the best possible outcome. And then, we received the news that we were successfully pregnant with you, our precious baby.

Once we found out, we already started planning our whole life with you. We were so excited for cuddles, the laughs, long nights, giving you your baby blessing, teaching you how to walk, how to use a fork and spoon, baptizing you, teaching you about Star Wars, how to ride a bike, all the trouble you would get into as a teenager and the twists and turns you would bring to our lives. And eventually, to see you get married to your spouse in the temple for time and all eternity.

We know that we will be able to experience and teach you some of these things when we see you again. We just would have loved to experience them with you in this life.

We wanted to experience something special with you, our very first, by waiting until you were born to find out if you were a boy or girl. When we found out on October 4th, we were so pleased to know you were our first baby boy. That was a special moment to instantly connect with you, and to feel your spirit so near.

Your name, Jex, has a special meaning. You are named after family members who are known to be the center, unifier, and gatherer of family and friends. It takes special people to do that, and to do it well. You are a gatherer of love. We have already witnessed you at work in this talent by gathering individuals on both sides of the veil. We have experienced a tremendous outpouring of love from both family and friends, even strangers who introduced themselves at our front door we've never met before. You are truly special to us and we are amazed at your talents that Heavenly Father has provided you for this earthly life. Thank you for sharing that with us, and helping us find comfort during this difficult time without you.

Having all those first experiences with you were amazing. You made it special to come home to you in mom's belly. Mom would tell me when you heard my voice you got so excited. I loved that you loved me. And I love you. We got to hold you, kiss you, hold your hands and feet, give you your first haircut, bath, and first family photos. Those will remain precious to us for all our lives. We loved spending all that time with you, and will never forget them.

We feel so privileged to be your earthly parents. We feel a special connection to you that no other baby we have will ever experience. You are the one who made us parents.

A special physical reminder of you has been a giraffe. I think Heavenly Father is trying to tell us that you would have been such a tall handsome man. Being 9 lbs 11 oz in weight, 22.5 inches long, 35 cm round head, with big ol' 8 cm long feet, you were bound to be taller than your dad. As people were gathering, they brought a few gifts we thought were very special. One nurse brought us a blanket for you that had giraffes on it. We thought it was cute. Then, a charity came to visit you and brought a onezie with giraffes on it. We started to pick up on the theme. Then, when your mom went to take a shower and the nurses in the hospital made her bed for her, they left a cute giraffe stuffed animal on her bed right next to you. That was when we knew, giraffes were special, just for you. Your mom went to Uganda and got her picture taken with a giraffe, and that picture was waiting for you in the nursery for you to see. I'm sure you already knew that. And Grandma Nicole brought daddy's baby picture from 28 years ago that was placed in a frame with a giraffe as well. What are the odds? It was all divine design. As our family and friends have learned about this, they've been sharing with us you saying hello to each of them as they find giraffes in their everyday life. That's been so special and sweet to hear from you each day as you say hi to all those we, and you, love.

Your eyes are so beautiful. Your button nose like mom is so precious. Your head of hair so full. We absolutely adore your cleft chin. Come to find out, that comes from your Great Grandpa Cleve and his dad! We had no idea until your Grandma Nicole found a good picture for us. We love it. Your big wrinkly feet are dad's favorite.

We hope and look forward to the day where we get to see you again and experience what it is like to be a family together. I'm sure you'll be having a great time with Great Grandpa and Grandma Price, Great Grandpa Andersen, Great Grandpa (Cleve LeBlanc), and especially Grammy Julie Andersen. Those are very special people to us, and we're so glad you get to meet and spend time with them. Your uncle Ty even said that you're probably towering over Julie right now with how tall you are. We're excited to see that.

Your mom and I will ensure to remember you in every season of life. We'll have a special place in our home for you, in our family photos, on our christmas cards, and we will share the love we have for you with others in special ways. You will never be forgotten.

Thank you for making us Mom and Dad. We love you.

God be with you until we meet again.
