Jesse Turner

February 22, 1944 — September 11, 2020

Jesse James Turner Jr. passed away on September 11, 2020 at his home from natural causes surrounded by his family.  Jesse was born February 22, 1944 to Jessie James Turner & Lucille Yeaman in Danville, Virginia.  He married Charlotte Louise Potter on November 17, 1962 and together they had 6 children and fostered 5 children they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 16, 1975.  They made their home and raised their children in American Fork, Utah.  Jesse retired after 33 years of driving transportation for Associated Food Stores.  He loved bowling, hunting, camping and boating with his family.  He loved to spend time with his friends at the old time coffee shops & café’s around town.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Charlotte Turner, his 3 children, Sheila (Philip) Edwards, Careen (Shad) Hansen, Brent (Michelle) Turner, son-in-law Jed Berry, brothers Clinton Turner, Eddie Turner, Mike Turner, sisters Charlene Radley and Pam Duvall, 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Harold Pope, Sister Shirley Miller, his children, Jeffrey Turner, Michael Turner, Pamela Berry and two grandsons.

In Lieu of flowers pleas make a donation to your choice of cancer research centers.  Graveside services will be held Wednesday September 16, 2020 at 12:30 pm in the American Fork Cemetery.  Due to COVID-19 a viewing will be monitored using the SignUp Genius link below from 10 to 12 pm at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Utah.  Please sign up to attend.
