Jeannine Manning Marchbanks, 91, passed away peacefully November 26, 2023 in Lehi, Utah surrounded by family. Born August 6, 1932 in Lehi, Utah, Jeannine is the daughter of Elmer George Manning and Dorothy Georgia Wright. She married Willis Reid Marchbanks January 7, 1950 in Lehi, Utah, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple on June 22, 1966. Jeannine was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was active in her faith and held many church callings during her lifetime. Among her many talents were scrapbooking and gardening; She loved literature and spent much of her life reading; She especially loved poetry, memorizing many poems that she could recite perfectly. She loved classical music and beautiful flowers; She was an accomplished seamstress that sewed quilts, costumes, and clothing for her children and grandchildren. She spent time volunteering during her later years, enjoying her time as a third grade reading tutor at Scera Park Elementary School. She was employed at several places during her lifetime including Signetics, Zion’s Co-operative Mercantile Institution (ZCMI), and as a beloved lunch lady for Alpine School District. She had a love for animals and rescued many that were in need. She was known for her organizational and housekeeping skills.
She is survived by her three children, David (Tana) Marchbanks, Stephen (Diana) Marchbanks, Lesa (Carl) Wanders, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and her sister-in-law, Linda Manning. She was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, Elmer George (Pete) Manning and Dorothy Georgia Wright, her husband, Willis Reid Marchbanks, her daughter-in-law, Jolene Marchbanks, her grandson, Willis Marchbanks, and her two brothers, Merlyn and Frank Manning.
