James Morgan Evans passed away on December 5, 2024 at the age of 51. Morgan was born on February 3, 1973 in Provo, UT to Larry Evans and Melody Weeks. He was the youngest of 3 children.
Morgan grew up in American Fork where he attended grade school through High School. He truly loved having his roots in American Fork. After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force Reserve. He truly loved his country and sewing in the Air Force. After leaving the reserve he attended Colorado Aero Tech where he graduated as an Aviation Electronics Engineer. After graduation he worked for the Salt Lake International Airport and I3 Communications.
Morgan married Mary Kay Bates October 3, 1998 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. They had two sons, Gentry and Dylan Evans. They were later divorced.
Morgan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a great leader and there were many friends and associates that looked up to him for his gentle and loving guidance. He was a fun person to be around.
Morgan cared so much about his family and his close friends. He would give the shirt off his back to any one in need. He enjoyed working with his hands and fixing just about anything you could think of. You could find Morgan riding his motorcycle, bicycle, camping, hiking and just about everything to do outdoors. His favorite place was American Fork Canyon. He spent a lot of time enjoying those beautiful mountains.
People knew Morgan as a kind hearted and gentle person. He will be truly missed by so many people
Morgan is proceeded in death by his grandparents: Robert (Bob) & LaVone Evans and Clyde & Helen Weeks.
He is survived by his two sons Gentry Evans & Dylan Evans, his parents Larry (Lana) Evans & Melody (Dale) Penrod and his Grandma Martha Knotts. He's also survived by his siblings: Darcey(Nicole) Evans, Robin(Kim) Mackey, Harmony Sandberg.
Funeral services will be held on Friday December 13, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel located at 49 East 100 North, American Fork, UT. There will be a viewing prior to the services from 9:45 - 10:45 am at the mortuary
