Howard Mills

Howard William Mills, a devoted and faithful family man who cherished the great outdoors, passed away on June 13, 2024, at the age of 73 in Clinton, UT. Born in American Fork, UT, on August 19, 1950, Howard was a man of passion, energy, and unfailing love for his family - most especially his late wife Wendy.

Howard's passion for rock and ice climbing endured until the age of 63, a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for nature. Throughout his career in sales and faithful church service, he made numerous friends with his outgoing and friendly nature. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Howard found solace and inspiration in studying the scriptures, and serving in many callings. He loved to volunteer at the ballpark, coaching and serving for many years in the American Fork Little League. He and Wendy rescued many dogs, loved to travel, and spend time with family.

Sadly, Howard battled a traumatic brain injury for nearly a decade, showing remarkable resilience and determination toward the end of his life.

Howard is survived by his loving sons:, Austin (Linley) Mills, Ryan (Lisa) Mills, Jordan (Ashley) Mills, 13 Grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his dear wife: Wendy, parents: Bill and Lola Mills, and siblings: Karen Harward and Carol Ann (Carl) Devey.

A public viewing in honor of Howard's life and legacy will be held at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork on June 28, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Another viewing will take place on June 29, 2024, from 9:45 to 10:45 am, followed by a celebratory funeral service at 11:00 am.
